Nonprofit Inclusiveness: Tools for the Journey PowerPoint is from the May 6, 2009 Professional DEEvelopment presentation and discussion on inclusiveness and diversity in environmental educational organizations. Our presenters were Katherine Pease, who consults with nonprofit organizations on how to create diversity and inclusiveness in nonprofit organizations and is the author of The Denver Foundation's workbook, Inclusiveness at Work: How to Build Inclusive Nonprofit Organizations; and Nicole Todd, who is Support Services Director at CityWILD, a Denver-based environmental educational organization that has been engaged in a comprehensive inclusiveness initiative over the last three years. Based on work done by The Denver Foundation's Inclusiveness Project and CityWILD, the presenters provided a concrete model for increasing organizational diversity and inclusiveness, and shared lessons learned about challenges and opportunities that arise in this important and complex work.
