EE Resource Review
Proving and improving the quality of environmental education resources
RSVP to the training on January 28, 2010, 12:30-4:00 at the Catamount Institute.
The EE Resource Reviews system is a process for evaluating environmental education (EE) resources (such as a curriculum, activity guide,
program outline, etc.) based on NAAEE's Environmental Education Materials: Guidelines for Excellence.
The process begins with a self-assessment using the national Guidelines as a
point of reference. Then, you can go on to receive valuable feedback from
a peer-review team –- outside experts looking just at your resource! Your
resource can then be listed on Colorado’s
EE Directory as a reviewed
resource, and anyone seeking EE materials will know that you strive for
excellence in the resources you provide.
The resource review system
has been designed with you in mind to make it easier for you to create, refine,
and find quality environmental education materials and programs.
Now is your chance!
Take the challenge of excellence - renew, refresh, and reinvigorate your environmental education
program/materials.

THE FINE PRINT
The listing of a resource on this website does not imply an endorsement by CAEE
nor the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE). Reviews
are provided as an informational tool to help users make decisions on the value
of the resource for their specific needs.
This review system is based upon a peer review process using trained reviewers
analyzing written program outlines and materials only. No field reviews or
performance observations are made as a part of this process. Review
criteria are based upon the NAAEE National Project for Excellence in
Environmental Education.
Each peer reviewer has completed a training course in preparation to accurately
analyze the information provided in the self-review according to the review
criteria stated by CAEE. Reviewers are not necessarily experts on the
content of the resource being reviewed. Thus, reviews do not necessarily affirm
or guarantee the accuracy of the factual content. The accuracy of the content
is a function of the review criteria, not the knowledge or expertise of
reviewers.
