The focus of this committee is on building support for environmental education on a broad scale.  The committee hosts a forum on education, develops calls for action to support legislation, and works to take advantage of other opportunities to make environmental education a societal priority.  This committee defines the communications, outreach, and program functions of CAEE and oversees the stewardship of the Colorado Environmental Education Master Plan.  The group suggests publicity and news media materials for organizational visibility and issues management. Currently, this group is working on state legislation for Environmental Education and preparing the framework to create a state environmental literacy plan (as is required by the NCLI legislation). 

The committee meets monthly on weekdays during normal business hours.
